Otto Haug fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeno Schilde having to interfere. Zeno Schilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samir Janotta in the 13th minute of the match. Theodor Röwe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Tristan Eplinius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Samir Janotta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benny Schmelter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Samir Janotta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laake's supporters rose to their feet, but Samir Janotta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeno Schilde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samir Janotta in the 34th minute of play forced Bökenbusch's goalkeeper Zeno Schilde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Reinhard Hambückers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. Zeno Schilde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bökenbusch's Zeno Schilde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Bökenbusch from getting a goal against them. The referee ignored Laake's protests and gave Laurence Besken a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Laake was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Besken to maneuver through the defense. The Laake supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laake would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
