After 9 minutes, Leik Mutlu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VFR Stommeln and the SC Tannenhausen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to VFR Stommeln getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Leik Mutlu hit a great ball. In the 15th minute of the match Ayman Dohmen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paavo Hilljegerdes skillfully saved the ball. Veit Hübsch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remo Totti scored 1-0 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paavo Hilljegerdes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eibo Lade hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Stephan Vollmer managed to get in a good position for a shot. VFR Stommeln's supporters rose to their feet, but Stephan Vollmer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paavo Hilljegerdes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to SC Tannenhausen getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Veit Hübsch hit a great ball. Ayman Dohmen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paavo Hilljegerdes having to interfere. Eibo Lade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Heimann having to make a save. Patrick Heimann came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Tannenhausen's Eibo Lade. But to his dismay, Eibo Lade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. VFR Stommeln's Patrick Heimann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eibo Lade in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eibo Lade was the one to do the kick off. Paavo Hilljegerdes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Totti in the 52nd minute of the match. Reinhold Lewe kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Remo Totti took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paavo Hilljegerdes. Paavo Hilljegerdes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The supporters of SC Tannenhausen booed when VFR Stommeln was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmuth Arzt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eibo Lade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Heimann having to interfere. A collision led to SC Tannenhausen getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Torsten Biehlert hit a great ball. After 72 played minutes VFR Stommeln got a freekick which was hit by Benedikt Ladwig. Torsten Biehlert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Heimann having to make a save. After 73rd play minutes Eibo Lade shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Patrick Heimann and just under the crossbar into goal. Paavo Hilljegerdes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ayman Dohmen in the 77th minute of play. Eibo Lade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the game, VFR Stommeln's Remo Totti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paavo Hilljegerdes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. VFR Stommeln's Patrick Heimann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save VFR Stommeln from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, VFR Stommeln's goalkeeper Patrick Heimann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torsten Biehlert. Paavo Hilljegerdes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Totti in the 94th minute of the match. Paavo Hilljegerdes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Totti in the 96th minute of play.
