An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Perktold in the 12th minute of play forced Moon Night Fighter's goalkeeper Endrik Galliker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matt Rösli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Endrik Galliker having to interfere. In the 20th minute Carl Nannarone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvester Alessandro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Winterthur's zone, Carl Nannarone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvester Alessandro came out of the goal and Carl Nannarone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Nannarone who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Silvester Alessandro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Winterthur's Allan Perktold got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Moon Night Fighter's Carl Nannarone in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When Matt Rösli came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Winterthur fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Rösli couldn't finish the play. Allan Perktold took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Endrik Galliker. Endrik Galliker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carl Nannarone was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Winterthur booed when Moon Night Fighter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilabert Diguja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Perktold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 96 minutes of play, Winterthur's Allan Perktold made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Endrik Galliker was left in no man's land by his defense there! Winterthur's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
