Spectators: 8519 (Terracing: 6390, Seating: 1959, VIP seats: 170) After 4 minutes, Enea Wechsler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tegerfelden and the 1. FC Vatikan players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Tegerfelden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enea Wechsler to maneuver through the defense. Arnaud Loiacono kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Enea Wechsler fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Leonello Henseler, passed just outside the right post. When Baldo Wollstadt fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1. FC Vatikan's protests and gave Baldo Wollstadt a yellow card for diving instead. Baldo Wollstadt hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Tony Frey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Schenker in the 15th minute of play. Arnaud Loiacono charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnaud Loiacono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arnaud Loiacono hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, 1. FC Vatikan's John Schenker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Frey narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, John Schenker notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tegerfelden's Tony Frey. Tony Frey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Enea Wechsler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tegerfelden's Tony Frey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Schenker in the 39th minute of play. Casimir Dahinden kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. John Schenker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tony Frey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Schenker, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Tobie Colmano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tony Frey. Tegerfelden's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half 1. FC Vatikan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

With a little luck, Tegerfelden's Tony Frey got control of the ball when John Schenker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tony Frey made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when John Schenker sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the game, Casimir Dahinden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tegerfelden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1. FC Vatikan the free kick. After 68 played minutes Tegerfelden got a freekick which was hit by Casimir Dahinden. John Schenker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodrigo Wertscher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes in the game, John Schenker fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tony Frey having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tegerfelden's goalkeeper Tony Frey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tony Frey made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when John Schenker sent off a good shot on target. Patrick Bregenzer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tony Frey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rodrigo Wertscher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tony Frey made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Schenker in the 91st minute. If Patrick Bregenzer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. 1. FC Vatikan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
