If Nico Kohler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, FC Zürich's Remo Rusterholz got a free kick in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxime Geisseler got free with Ladislas Vittiger in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Black Jack's goalkeeper Ladislas Vittiger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxime Geisseler. After 39 played minutes, Black Jack's Detlef Wirth shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jared Labrie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Black Jack reached it. Thoralf Betz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ladislas Vittiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thoralf Betz in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ladislas Vittiger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ladislas Vittiger made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Maxime Geisseler sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Thoralf Betz to strike the kick off in the second half. Maxime Geisseler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ladislas Vittiger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thoralf Betz in the 60th minute of the match. Christophe Besse really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. In the 91st minute Marc Jäggi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Zürich's Jared Labrie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save FC Zürich from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Thoralf Betz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Zürich's supporters rose to their feet, but Thoralf Betz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislas Vittiger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Black Jack walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
