The tension between the FC Zürich and the FC Winznau players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Guibord kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Jurij Sablone came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FC Winznau fans jumped to their feet. Gautier Rüegsegger was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The audience was convinced that Alois Nietlisbach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jared Labrie was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in FC Zürich's zone, Jurij Sablone stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jared Labrie came out of the goal and Jurij Sablone tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jared Labrie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jurij Sablone in the 42nd minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alois Nietlisbach to make the kick off. Gautier Rüegsegger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jared Labrie having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, FC Zürich's goal looked a bit too open when Alois Nietlisbach came free, but Jared Labrie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Alois Nietlisbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jared Labrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jurij Sablone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jared Labrie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Jurij Sablone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jared Labrie was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Zürich's goalkeeper Jared Labrie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jared Labrie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jurij Sablone in the 79th minute of play. FC Winznau's Alois Nietlisbach got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When FC Winznau's Alois Nietlisbach in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Zürich's goalie prevented a goal. 91 minutes into the match, FC Winznau's Gautier Rüegsegger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jared Labrie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Alois Nietlisbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Winznau had played much better football throughout.
