John Schenker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, John Schenker made a precise shot to the right of Jonas Lütolf. AG.S. Rhäzüns FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The supporters of AG.S. Rhäzüns FC booed when 1. FC Vatikan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldo Wollstadt didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to AG.S. Rhäzüns FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Sidonius Eisenhauer hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, John Schenker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonas Lütolf was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute AG.S. Rhäzüns FC were awarded a corner. Frankie Freitag went to the cornerflag to take it. Bernie Sevier was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Andrea Bögli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baldo Wollstadt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. John Schenker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Lütolf having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, AG.S. Rhäzüns FC's goalkeeper Jonas Lütolf had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Schenker. John Schenker received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonas Lütolf came out and tried to block the shot, but John Schenker slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Schenker to strike the kick off in the second half. When Baldo Wollstadt fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 1. FC Vatikan's protests and gave Baldo Wollstadt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Baldo Wollstadt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, 1. FC Vatikan's John Schenker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonas Lütolf narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Georges Wermelinger hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute John Schenker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Lütolf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Lütolf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of John Schenker's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. John Schenker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Lütolf having to interfere. If John Schenker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the game, 1. FC Vatikan's Baldo Wollstadt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Lütolf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Jonas Lütolf came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by 1. FC Vatikan's Baldo Wollstadt. But to his dismay, Baldo Wollstadt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. AG.S. Rhäzüns FC's Jonas Lütolf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Schenker in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, John Schenker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1. FC Vatikan's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Schenker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Schenker blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Lütolf having to make a save. 1. FC Vatikan's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
