An unexpectedly hard shot by Uberto Ackerman in the 5th minute of play forced Karakartal JK's goalkeeper Artur Walter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karakartal JK's Artur Walter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Markus Gassmann in the 18th minute of play. Artur Walter came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Romanel HC's Hans-Ruedi Figini. But to his dismay, Hans-Ruedi Figini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A collision led to Romanel HC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Francisco Pfeffer hit a great ball. When Matthias Zeiher came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Karakartal JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Zeiher couldn't finish the play. Fabrizio Fridli succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 31st playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Ruedi Figini in the 35th minute of play forced Karakartal JK's goalkeeper Artur Walter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Peder Meisser notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Karakartal JK's Artur Walter. Artur Walter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hans-Ruedi Figini made the kick off in the second half. Hans-Ruedi Figini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 60th minute, Denis Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franklin Amsel during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Trolla in the 68th minute of play forced Karakartal JK's goalkeeper Artur Walter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Walter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Ruedi Figini, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Felicien Bourgouin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francois Strebel in the 78th minute of play. After 81 minutes, Markus Gassmann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Romanel HC and the Karakartal JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Romanel HC got a freekick which was hit by Markus Gassmann. After some careless play in the Romanel HC defense, Francois Strebel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felicien Bourgouin. The Romanel HC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felicien Bourgouin should have stopped the shot. In the 88th match minute, Karakartal JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthias Zeiher to maneuver through the defense. The score was now 2-3. 95 minutes into the match, Karakartal JK's goalkeeper Artur Walter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uberto Ackerman. The Karakartal JK supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Romanel HC's performance. The match ended with a win for Romanel HC.
