Spectators: 8483 (Terracing: 6364, Seating: 1950, VIP seats: 169) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when John Schenker got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, John Schenker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ladislas Vittiger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Leonello Henseler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nico Kohler in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute of the match, Nico Kohler got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonello Henseler was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Baldo Wollstadt struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Ladislas Vittiger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1. FC Vatikan. 13 minutes into the match, Black Jack's goal looked a bit too open when John Schenker came free, but Ladislas Vittiger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Marc Jäggi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nico Kohler got free with Leonello Henseler in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, 1. FC Vatikan's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Jäggi came free, but Leonello Henseler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christophe Besse charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christophe Besse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers John Schenker in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ladislas Vittiger saved Black Jack from getting behind. John Schenker might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ladislas Vittiger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Schenker ran back to his position shaking his head. Baldo Wollstadt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ladislas Vittiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Black Jack's zone, John Schenker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ladislas Vittiger came out of the goal and John Schenker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnaud Loiacono fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislas Vittiger having to interfere. 37 minutes into the game, John Schenker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ladislas Vittiger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 41 minutes, John Schenker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1. FC Vatikan's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Schenker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Baldo Wollstadt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Ladislas Vittiger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Patrick Bregenzer's late challenge caught a Black Jack's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Bregenzer helped the player get up and apologised. Patrick Bregenzer hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc Jäggi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Schenker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Ladislas Vittiger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Baldo Wollstadt rounded Black Jack's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. John Schenker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Ladislas Vittiger made a huge save. Arnaud Loiacono recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Black Jack's goalkeeper Ladislas Vittiger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldo Wollstadt. If John Schenker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronny Courtemanche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ladislas Vittiger made a huge save. After having played for 83 minutes, Baldo Wollstadt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1. The Black Jack fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 1. FC Vatikan were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
