The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karakartal JK's Artur Walter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Karakartal JK from getting a goal against them. Artur Walter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lothaire Wyser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tegerfelden's Tony Frey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francois Strebel in the 8th minute of play. Francois Strebel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Karakartal JK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Denis Gerber hit a great ball. Artur Walter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Wertscher in the 20th minute of the match. Tegerfelden's Enea Wechsler got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Matthias Zeiher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karakartal JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Zeiher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Frey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tony Frey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francois Strebel in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Denis Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Frey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Francois Strebel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tegerfelden's Tony Frey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Casimir Dahinden kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Tony Frey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francois Strebel's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, Karakartal JK's Artur Walter got control of the ball when Enea Wechsler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute Rodrigo Wertscher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Walter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur Walter made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Enea Wechsler sent off a good shot on target. 1-1 became the score in the 39th minute when Rodrigo Wertscher elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Artur Walter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Wertscher, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Rodrigo Wertscher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Rodrigo Wertscher took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Artur Walter to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francois Strebel to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Karakartal JK's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Wertscher came free, but Artur Walter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur Walter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enea Wechsler in the 57th minute of play. Tegerfelden's Rodrigo Wertscher got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Francois Strebel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Karakartal JK's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Wertscher came free, but Artur Walter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anders Barth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tony Frey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 71 minutes into the match, Karakartal JK's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Wertscher came free, but Artur Walter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute Matthias Zeiher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Frey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Wertscher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Artur Walter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Karakartal JK's Francois Strebel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. 92 minutes into the game, Tegerfelden's Rodrigo Wertscher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artur Walter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. Rodrigo Wertscher charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodrigo Wertscher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rodrigo Wertscher hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tegerfelden fans cheered their team off the field, for while Karakartal JK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
