Spectators: 8497 (Terracing: 6374, Seating: 1954, VIP seats: 169) Conny Hägglund started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Liernu's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Hägglund came free, but Weverton van Beek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Liernu's zone, Topan Simbolon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Weverton van Beek came out of the goal and Topan Simbolon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Weverton van Beek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Topan Simbolon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Louis Snyers got free with Erik-Jan Kerkhofs in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Weverton van Beek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Hägglund in the 24th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Conny Hägglund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Weverton van Beek was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Sprunger Fasting could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Erik-Jan Kerkhofs however easily saved by the left post. After 28 played minutes Liernu got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Amaro. Conny Hägglund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Weverton van Beek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. After some careless play in the Liernu defense, Topan Simbolon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Weverton van Beek. The Liernu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Weverton van Beek should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Liernu's goalkeeper Weverton van Beek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute Conny Hägglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Weverton van Beek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conny Hägglund in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Weverton van Beek saved Liernu from getting behind. Erik-Jan Kerkhofs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sprunger Fasting in the 38th minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Liernu got a corner. forza minderhout's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Yanniek Matthijs ran over to the corner to take the kick. 44 minutes into the match, Liernu's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Hägglund came free, but Weverton van Beek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half forza minderhout were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Louis Snyers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Liernu's Weverton van Beek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Liernu from getting a goal against them. Bertrand Van Hautvin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 55th minute, Petr Lykov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Weverton van Beek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bertrand Van Hautvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Weverton van Beek made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Hernán Crespo sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Hernán Crespo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Weverton van Beek. That made the score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. In the 65th match minute, forza minderhout was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Enmanuel to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Louis Snyers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik-Jan Kerkhofs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Weverton van Beek was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carel Gheysen. Erik-Jan Kerkhofs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Louis Snyers in the 70th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Hernán Crespo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liernu's Weverton van Beek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conny Hägglund in the 77th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Weverton van Beek successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Weverton van Beek made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Hernán Crespo sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute, Francesco Ciraci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernán Crespo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Weverton van Beek came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernán Crespo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 85th minute. Justo Enmanuel charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justo Enmanuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
