After a defensive mix-up in FK Austria's zone, Timo-Fabian Bär stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Bickert came out of the goal and Timo-Fabian Bär tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Peter Harand kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Pfanges FSV's Bernd Ballik tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Pfanges FSV's Michel Bickert threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rouven Mandel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 16 minutes, Robert Horneber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Austria's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Horneber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Niels Zensen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Horneber in the 18th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Pfanges FSV's goal looked a bit too open when René Juhr came free, but Niels Zensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Timo-Fabian Bär had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, FK Austria's goalkeeper Michel Bickert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timo-Fabian Bär. In the 34th minute, René Juhr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robert Horneber struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Niels Zensen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FK Austria. Niels Zensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from René Juhr in the 39th minute of the match. When Holger Reinke fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pfanges FSV's protests and gave Holger Reinke a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Pfanges FSV's Holger Reinke got a free kick in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, Pfanges FSV's goal looked a bit too open when René Juhr came free, but Niels Zensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robert Horneber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels Zensen having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rouven Mandel made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Robert Horneber put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Niels Zensen. Rouven Mandel charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rouven Mandel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Pfanges FSV's Rouven Mandel got a free kick in the 60th minute. FK Austria's Heinz-Dieter Eckhardt shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Niels Zensen but with some difficulty. René Juhr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Niels Zensen made a huge save. In the 67th match minute, Pfanges FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Holger Reinke to maneuver through the defense. Rouven Mandel kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Philipp Redtel charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Philipp Redtel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 74 minutes into the game, one of Pfanges FSV:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 76 minutes, FK Austria's Heinz-Dieter Eckhardt got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Niels Zensen. Michel Bickert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rouven Mandel's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. If Robert Horneber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niels Zensen made an important save on a dangerous shot by René Juhr in the 91st minute. Robert Fritschken kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
