In the 10th minute, Eike Hörtnagel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Ali Kaan Toydemir proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save SK Fenerbahce Wien from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Galatasaray SK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! 23 minutes into the game, Eike Hörtnagel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gunnar Taevere was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ali Kaan Toydemir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Säuml in the 27th minute of play. Galatasaray SK were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after SK Fenerbahce Wien's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arto Kaldmaa took the corner. Galatasaray SK's Joakim Frankvig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ali Kaan Toydemir in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ali Kaan Toydemir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Säuml, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Klaus Beudel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th match minute, Galatasaray SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Klimbacher to maneuver through the defense. Norman Klimbacher hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 45th match minute, SK Fenerbahce Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guter Czogalla to maneuver through the defense. Klaus Beudel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Kaan Toydemir read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Norman Klimbacher got a throw-in 52 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Klaus Beudel. Gunnar Taevere made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eike Hörtnagel in the 55th minute. Klaus Beudel might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ali Kaan Toydemir. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Klaus Beudel ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SK Fenerbahce Wien getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Brage Thorbjørnsen hit a great ball. SK Fenerbahce Wien made a substitution. Alexandros Matsinopoulos replaced Eike Hörtnagel. 63 minutes into the game, Norman Klimbacher threw the ball into play from the sideline. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Lu Jun Yin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alexandros Matsinopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gunnar Taevere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. Joakim Frankvig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Ali Kaan Toydemir tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gunnar Taevere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandros Matsinopoulos in the 69th minute of play. Ali Kaan Toydemir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joakim Frankvig in the 71st minute of the match. A well-hit corner resulted in Eduard Säuml heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduard Säuml in the 77th minute of play forced SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Ali Kaan Toydemir to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunnar Taevere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandros Matsinopoulos in the 85th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Klaus Beudel came free, but Ali Kaan Toydemir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galatasaray SK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arto Kaldmaa in the 93rd minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
