In the 4th minute of the match Saúl Barreiros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Barreiros skillfully saved the ball. Carlos Areosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. David Barreiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ailton Amado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, one of Penistone City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for FUEGO FC. Rogério Apalanga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving David Barreiros . 1-0. Teta Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Penistone City's Fábio Borges got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Dos Santos in the 37th minute of play forced FUEGO FC's goalkeeper Evaristo Camarinha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FUEGO FC's zone, Ailton Amado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Camarinha came out of the goal and Ailton Amado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Barreiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teta Mendes in the 43rd minute of the match. David Barreiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teta Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 48 minutes into the match, FUEGO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pompílio De Matos came free, but Evaristo Camarinha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teta Mendes was the one to do the kick off. David Barreiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teta Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 59th match minute, FUEGO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Apalanga to maneuver through the defense. Pompílio De Matos struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Evaristo Camarinha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Penistone City. In the 68th minute, Ailton Amado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Evaristo Camarinha, passed just outside the right post. The audience was convinced that Carlos Areosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Barreiros was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. David Barreiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teta Mendes in the 72nd minute of the match. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Camarinha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Quim Meneses kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Carlos Varanda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FUEGO FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Penistone City the free kick. In the 91st minute, Pompílio De Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, FUEGO FC could leave the field as winners, despite Penistone City having more of the ball for most of the match.
