Spectators: 7620 (Terracing: 5716, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 152) Viorel Stănoiu made the kick off and thus started the match. 5 minutes into the match, Nicolae Vasiliu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilie Itoafă. Delutu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolae Vasiliu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Delutu's Ilie Itoafă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viorel Stănoiu in the 10th minute of play. Nicolae Vasiliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 11 minutes into the game, Petelei AFC's Viorel Stănoiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilie Itoafă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 14th minute Viorel Stănoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Itoafă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Filip Alexandrescu fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delutu's protests and gave Filip Alexandrescu a yellow card for diving instead. 16 minutes into the game, one of Delutu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ilie Itoafă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Vasiliu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Codrin Hănescu hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Ilie Itoafă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Vasiliu in the 37th minute of play. Nicolae Vasiliu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viorel Stănoiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ilie Itoafă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Vasiliu in the 42nd minute of play. Nicolae Vasiliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Itoafă having to interfere. After the first half Petelei AFC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the game, David Timofte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Petelei AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delutu the free kick. In the 51st minute, David Timofte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ion Hâjdău came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Delutu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ion Hâjdău couldn't finish the play. Delutu's Ilie Itoafă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Delutu from getting a goal against them. Ilie Itoafă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viorel Stănoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Petelei AFC booed when Delutu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Voica didn't get a good kick on the ball. 62 minutes in the game Rareș Taşcu after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Ilie Itoafă. A very good opportunity. 64 minutes into the match, Delutu's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Stănoiu came free, but Ilie Itoafă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viorel Stănoiu in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Itoafă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Valer Răduț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mădălin Ghionescu in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Petelei AFC's Nicolae Vasiliu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilie Itoafă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Viorel Stănoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ilie Itoafă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th match minute, Delutu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Onofrei to maneuver through the defense. After 76 played minutes, Petelei AFC's Rareș Taşcu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ilie Itoafă came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Petelei AFC reached it. If Nicolae Vasiliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nicolae Vasiliu came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Petelei AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolae Vasiliu couldn't finish the play.
