The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. I got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alin Chiru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Ecobescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. After 15 played minutes FC Acatar got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Șeicaru. The audience was convinced that Gelu Feraru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Gelu Feraru sped through FC Acatar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ekhemos Kezdoglou. In the 48th minute Gelu Feraru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ekhemos Kezdoglou saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alin Chiru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, D.J. I managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but D.J. I was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emil Harhoiu charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emil Harhoiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emil Harhoiu kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. FC Acatar's Ekhemos Kezdoglou proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save FC Acatar from getting a goal against them. FC Acatar's Ekhemos Kezdoglou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Harhoiu in the 70th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emil Harhoiu got free with Ekhemos Kezdoglou in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alin Chiru in the 83rd minute of play forced Old Boys's goalkeeper Dacian Ecobescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
