Sebastian Bungeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Uwe Schram, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Real Mangalia - BTF's goal looked a bit too open when Tudor Sântimbrean came free, but Ardahan Hiçyılmaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samet Mert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Real Mangalia - BTF defense, Tudor Sântimbrean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ardahan Hiçyılmaz. The Real Mangalia - BTF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ardahan Hiçyılmaz should have stopped the shot. Ardahan Hiçyılmaz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tudor Sântimbrean in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ardahan Hiçyılmaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tudor Sântimbrean got free with Ardahan Hiçyılmaz in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Uwe Schram was the one to do the kick off.
