The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugen Cernat got free with Dacian Ecobescu in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 16 minutes, Roosevelt Chandler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ABK Black Warriors73 and the Old Boys players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes ABK Black Warriors73 got a freekick which was hit by Roosevelt Chandler. 19 minutes into the match, Old Boys's goalkeeper Dacian Ecobescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugen Cernat. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Old Boys's goalkeeper Dacian Ecobescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugen Cernat couldn't finish the play. Niculae Miclescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dacian Ecobescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Niculae Miclescu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 29th minute. Dacian Ecobescu made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Eugen Cernat sent off a good shot on target. If Eugen Cernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georgi Asparuhov in the 41st minute of play forced ABK Black Warriors73's goalkeeper Andreas Lindqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Basarab Strungă kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Cornel Panaitescu struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Andreas Lindqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Boys.

Eugen Cernat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Ecobescu having to make a save. In the 55th minute Eugen Cernat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Ecobescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Old Boys defense, Eugen Cernat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dacian Ecobescu. The Old Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dacian Ecobescu should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugen Cernat in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dacian Ecobescu saved Old Boys from getting behind. Cornel Panaitescu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andreas Lindqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Cornel Panaitescu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, ABK Black Warriors73's Roosevelt Chandler sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dacian Ecobescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ABK Black Warriors73's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
