Basarab Răduț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucrețiu Oroian, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. After a rather tough play, FC ciufulici's Edgar Comarnescu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 5th minute, Traian Stejaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basarab Răduț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Oroian in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, FC BARCELONA VLP's goal looked a bit too open when Lucrețiu Oroian came free, but Basarab Răduț reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, FC BARCELONA VLP's goalkeeper Basarab Răduț had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teodor Covaci. In the 14th minute Cezar Nițescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Oravițan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Traian Stejaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the game, Dan Alungulesei was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC BARCELONA VLP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC ciufulici the free kick. The supporters of FC ciufulici booed when FC BARCELONA VLP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Alungulesei didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cezar Nițescu in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dacian Oravițan saved FC ciufulici from getting behind. George Giurcă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Basarab Răduț made a huge save. After 37 played minutes FC ciufulici got a freekick which was hit by Costel Luican. After having played for 38 minutes, Cezar Nițescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC BARCELONA VLP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cezar Nițescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st match minute, FC BARCELONA VLP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Şoimu to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute of the match Edgar Comarnescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basarab Răduț showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Basarab Răduț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodor Covaci in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cezar Nițescu to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, FC ciufulici's George Giurcă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Basarab Răduț made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. FC BARCELONA VLP's Basarab Răduț played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Oroian in the 68th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgar Vlas during the 71st minute. Basarab Răduț was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. It was beautiful to see FC ciufulici's George Giurcă in action when he in the 93rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Dacian Oravițan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Nițescu in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that FC ciufulici were the better team. FC ciufulici's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
