Anthimos Bouloubasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eugenios Kalouptsidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petros Anastasakis in the 18th minute of the match. Eugenios Kalouptsidis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petros Anastasakis in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vaggelis Kyriakidis in the 25th minute of play forced PANATHINAIKOS's goalkeeper Eugenios Kalouptsidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Nikos Kioubouroglou was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PANATHINAIKOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Khortos FC the free kick. The supporters of Khortos FC booed when PANATHINAIKOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikos Kioubouroglou didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 played minutes Khortos FC got a freekick which was hit by Takis Pentedekas. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Themis Peridis managed to get in a good position for a shot. PANATHINAIKOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Themis Peridis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paris Maintanos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nasos Vakalis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Nikos Kioubouroglou had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paris Maintanos. Khortos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nikos Kioubouroglou was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Khortos FC's Petros Anastasakis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eugenios Kalouptsidis. That made the score 1-1 after 40 minutes of play. Takis Pentedekas kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. PANATHINAIKOS's Themis Peridis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Loukas Zois, made in the 46th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vaggelis Kyriakidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nikos Kioubouroglou kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Vaggelis Kyriakidis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, PANATHINAIKOS's Alkis Spiliotis got a free kick in the 58th minute. PANATHINAIKOS's Eugenios Kalouptsidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaggelis Kyriakidis in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, PANATHINAIKOS's goal looked a bit too open when Vaggelis Kyriakidis came free, but Eugenios Kalouptsidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, PANATHINAIKOS's goal looked a bit too open when Vaggelis Kyriakidis came free, but Eugenios Kalouptsidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of PANATHINAIKOS booed when Khortos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loukas Zois didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Themis Peridis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paris Maintanos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PANATHINAIKOS's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Khortos FC had won, even though PANATHINAIKOS had held more of the ball.
