Lakis Tatsos charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lakis Tatsos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tasos Lazaridis in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giorgos Petkakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kostas Rapsopodis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Loukas Karagiotakis having to make a save. Thanos Psikos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 minutes, Thanos Psikos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porta and the Pιfka FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Porta's Thanasis Chatziioannou got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Tasos Lazaridis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Porta booed when Pιfka FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kyriakos Egomitis to make the kick off. Loukas Karagiotakis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kostas Rapsopodis's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Tasos Lazaridis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pιfka FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tasos Lazaridis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giorgos Petkakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
