After 13 minutes, Elder Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FIGHTER F.C. and the Blue Lions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FIGHTER F.C.'s Elder Duarte got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute Clinton Eastwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgos Stavrakas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stelios Kastigios was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 25 minutes into the match, Stelios Kastigios notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FIGHTER F.C.'s Giorgos Stavrakas. Giorgos Stavrakas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of FIGHTER F.C. booed when Blue Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alekos Stergakos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, FIGHTER F.C.'s goalkeeper Giorgos Stavrakas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stelios Kastigios. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avraam Labiris in the 44th minute of play forced Blue Lions FC's goalkeeper Kostas Alexoudis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgos Stavrakas was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Clinton Eastwood capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clinton Eastwood really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

A well-hit corner resulted in Charilaos Kabouratos heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience was convinced that Avraam Labiris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kostas Alexoudis was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Theagenis Karagiannis kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Giorgos Stavrakas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clinton Eastwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A collision led to FIGHTER F.C. getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Theagenis Karagiannis hit a great ball. If Avraam Labiris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FIGHTER F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
