But to his dismay, Konstantinos Manikas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 17th minute Nial Peyton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omiros Ntounos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fanis Kostarakis lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Fanis Kostarakis hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's goal looked a bit too open when Theagenis Theodorakoglou came free, but Omiros Ntounos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Omiros Ntounos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theagenis Theodorakoglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's zone, Theagenis Theodorakoglou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omiros Ntounos came out of the goal and Theagenis Theodorakoglou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stavros Antzas kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's Omiros Ntounos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Panagiotis Kaliasis in the 41st minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paris Georgiadis to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ΕΛΛΗΣΠΟΝΤΟΣ's Alkis Kalipolitis got a free kick in the 52nd minute. If Konstantinos Manikas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute.
