Kostas Kourmouzis guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. 23 minutes into the game, Xarilaou FC's Stratos Kabantais nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Narciso Eusko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 26th minute of the match, Jarkko Laatikainen tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kostas Kourmouzis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Narciso Eusko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kostas Fasoulis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maciej Żurawski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Kostas Kourmouzis made a huge save. In the 34th minute, Glyka Nera FC's Kostas Teneketzis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kostas Kourmouzis. Kostas Kourmouzis yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Jarkko Laatikainen scored 2-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kostas Kourmouzis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kostas Kourmouzis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maciej Żurawski in the 41st minute. Narciso Eusko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stratos Kabantais in the 43rd minute of play. Maciej Żurawski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kostas Kourmouzis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Xarilaou FC made a substitution. Henrihs Kazimirs replaced Kostas Fasoulis. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miladin Kirichev was the one to do the kick off. Glyka Nera FC's Narciso Eusko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miladin Kirichev in the 54th minute of play. Kostas Kourmouzis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maciej Żurawski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of Glyka Nera FC booed when Xarilaou FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theofanis Tsatsaronakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Xarilaou FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maciej Żurawski in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kostas Kourmouzis saved Xarilaou FC from getting behind. Kostas Kourmouzis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kostas Teneketzis in the 82nd minute of the match. When Glyka Nera FC's Jarkko Laatikainen in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 97 minutes of play, Glyka Nera FC's Güven Çırakoğlu made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kostas Kourmouzis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Glyka Nera FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
