The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yahya Satı during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bozdogan's Kubat Ergün was substituted for Aysan Cerit. The supporters of Bozdogan booed when Kağıthane SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yahya Satı didn't get a good kick on the ball. Veysel Malkoçoğlu, 5 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a little luck, Bozdogan's Ahmet Davut Urhan got control of the ball when Ali Emir Şenol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fatih Uz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ahmet Davut Urhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fatih Uz came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ahmet Davut Urhan could save by the left post. Ahmet Davut Urhan was a little too slow when Bedrettin Altınpınar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. If İskender Başesgioğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kubat Ergün in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kılıç Deveci saved Kağıthane SK from getting behind. İlkan Sefir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kılıç Deveci having to interfere. Kubat Ergün struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Kılıç Deveci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bozdogan. After 25 minutes, Ruhi Ruknettin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kağıthane SK and the Bozdogan players grew even worse after the yellow card. İskender Başesgioğlu took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kılıç Deveci. Kılıç Deveci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 37 minutes into the game, Bozdogan's Kubat Ergün nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kılıç Deveci made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When Bozdogan's Kubat Ergün in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kağıthane SK's goalie prevented a goal. Ersan Zübeyir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kılıç Deveci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. When Kubat Ergün came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Bozdogan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kubat Ergün couldn't finish the play. Kılıç Deveci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kubat Ergün's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kubat Ergün was the one to do the kick off. Kubat Ergün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes in the game Ali Erdem İmroz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ahmet Hasan Talaykan. İlkan Sefir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Kılıç Deveci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Kağıthane SK's goal looked a bit too open when İlkan Sefir came free, but Kılıç Deveci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. İskender Başesgioğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kılıç Deveci having to make a save. Kubat Ergün sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rahman Toraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bozdogan's attentive Ersan Zübeyir managed to snatch the ball when Ahmet İlhan Tara made a throw-in in the 89th minute of the game. With a little luck, Kağıthane SK's Kılıç Deveci got control of the ball when Kubat Ergün tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Kubat Ergün's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kılıç Deveci was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kubat Ergün in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kılıç Deveci prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
