Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) ARTVİN SK's Rafettin Adıyaman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dilaver Sayhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lefter Boratay in the 5th minute of play. Dilaver Sayhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ceyhun Gülsoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 12 minutes, Çağdaş Esenboğa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ARTVİN SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Çağdaş Esenboğa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Ender Tekiner managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when ARTVİN SK's Rafettin Adıyaman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rafettin Adıyaman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ender Tekiner having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Rıfkı Rekin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Dilaver Sayhan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lefter Boratay went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ender Tekiner made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Rafettin Adıyaman sent off a good shot on target. Kıvanç Ersayın charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kıvanç Ersayın the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes ARTVİN SK got a freekick which was hit by Kıvanç Ersayın. Sebati Ege took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dilaver Sayhan. ARTVİN SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Cibali getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Levent Bengi hit a great ball. Ender Tekiner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafettin Adıyaman in the 44th minute. Dilaver Sayhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Akgün Çerağ, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Rafettin Adıyaman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ender Tekiner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kenan Demirel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cibali's zone, Rafettin Adıyaman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lefter Boratay hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Rafettin Adıyaman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ender Tekiner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafettin Adıyaman in the 80th minute of play forced Cibali's goalkeeper Ender Tekiner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Rafettin Adıyaman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Savaşer Şikel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ender Tekiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağdaş Esenboğa in the 95th minute of play. Cibali succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though ARTVİN SK had controlled the match.
