When Sancarbey Canpolat came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the KASTAMONUSPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sancarbey Canpolat couldn't finish the play. In the 41st minute, Lodos FC's Ahmet Gündüz Çağkar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yıldıray Şamil. Yıldıray Şamil yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ahmet Gündüz Çağkar made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Lodos FC's goalkeeper Macit Nurbaki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sancarbey Canpolat. In the 60th minute, Sancarbey Canpolat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It could just as well have been a goal. In the 84th minute, Sancarbey Canpolat fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. KASTAMONUSPOR's Yıldıray Şamil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baycan Refah in the 88th minute of play. KASTAMONUSPOR's Sancarbey Canpolat got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Lodos FC's Beşir Taştekin got a free kick in the 91st minute. Sancarbey Canpolat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Macit Nurbaki made a huge save. KASTAMONUSPOR's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Lodos FC had won, even though KASTAMONUSPOR had held more of the ball.
