The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nedim Talaş hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Onurhan Uraltan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Yavuz Selim Semih had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th match minute, Demirözü FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Özdemir Polatkan to maneuver through the defense. Arda Baybars Şükür made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yavuz Selim Semih in the 12th minute of play. Demirözü FK's Ant Türkdoğan got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Demirözü FK defense, Yavuz Selim Semih kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arda Baybars Şükür. The Demirözü FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arda Baybars Şükür should have stopped the shot. After 23 played minutes Sulusaray got a freekick which was hit by Ferman Kaymaz. In the 25th minute Güral Belen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arda Baybars Şükür saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match Raik Zeyrek sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arda Baybars Şükür skillfully saved the ball. Yavuz Selim Semih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Özdemir Polatkan fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demirözü FK's protests and gave Özdemir Polatkan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sulusaray booed when Demirözü FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özdemir Polatkan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Güral Belen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arda Baybars Şükür having to interfere. Arda Baybars Şükür took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Selim Semih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Güral Belen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Arda Baybars Şükür tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fahri Demirağ hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Sulusaray were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ant Türkdoğan to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Sulusaray's goal looked a bit too open when Anıl Cenk Tüzünalp came free, but Arda Ozan Evirgen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Yavuz Selim Semih hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ant Türkdoğan in the 76th minute of play forced Sulusaray's goalkeeper Arda Ozan Evirgen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ant Türkdoğan in the 92nd minute of play forced Sulusaray's goalkeeper Arda Ozan Evirgen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
