A collision led to Demirözü FK getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Özdemir Polatkan hit a great ball. If Sabit Esentürk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. Sancarbey Canpolat scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arda Baybars Şükür, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yıldıray Şamil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nedim Talaş in the 20th minute of play. Ant Türkdoğan scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Yıldıray Şamil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yıldıray Şamil came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Demirözü FK's Anıl Cenk Tüzünalp. But to his dismay, Anıl Cenk Tüzünalp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. KASTAMONUSPOR's Sabit Esentürk got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Sancarbey Canpolat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KASTAMONUSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sancarbey Canpolat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. KASTAMONUSPOR's Yıldıray Şamil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özdemir Polatkan in the 37th minute of play. Nedim Talaş sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Demirözü FK's Nusrettin Akarslan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Sancarbey Canpolat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arda Baybars Şükür read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sancarbey Canpolat made a kick off. Ahmet Nasir Sertaçgil hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, KASTAMONUSPOR's goalkeeper Yıldıray Şamil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anıl Cenk Tüzünalp. KASTAMONUSPOR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Ant Türkdoğan scored to the left of an out of position Yıldıray Şamil, making the score, 1-3. After 58 minutes of play, Demirözü FK's Nedim Talaş made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yıldıray Şamil was left in no man's land by his defense there! It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 63rd minute, but Yıldıray Şamil got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving KASTAMONUSPOR hanging dry this time. In the 64th minute Ant Türkdoğan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yıldıray Şamil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 played minutes KASTAMONUSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Güner Korhan. In the 67th minute, Ant Türkdoğan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. KASTAMONUSPOR's Yıldıray Şamil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save KASTAMONUSPOR from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd match minute, Demirözü FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kutay Sidam to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Nedim Talaş kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yıldıray Şamil. That made the score 1-5 in the 76 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Demirözü FK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
