With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sancarbey Canpolat in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Recep Bakanay saved Civril from getting behind. In the 28th minute Güner Korhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Recep Bakanay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tuna Bilgen got free with Yıldıray Şamil in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sancarbey Canpolat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Recep Bakanay having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Gökhan Baltaş managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a rather tough play, KASTAMONUSPOR's Güner Korhan got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Yıldıray Şamil successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

KASTAMONUSPOR's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
