The supporters of ARTVİN SK booed when Altinözü was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Halil Onural didn't get a good kick on the ball. Çağdaş Esenboğa hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Kubilay Talut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafettin Adıyaman, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Altinözü's goal looked a bit too open when Rıfkı Rekin came free, but Kubilay Talut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 played minutes ARTVİN SK got a freekick which was hit by Aytunç Şener. In the 30th minute, Aytunç Şener hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erol Benli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dilaver Sayhan having to interfere. When Erol Benli fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altinözü's protests and gave Erol Benli a yellow card for diving instead. Dilaver Sayhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erol Benli in the 36th minute of the match. If Rafettin Adıyaman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ARTVİN SK's Savaşer Şikel got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erol Benli to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Rafettin Adıyaman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kubilay Talut was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 59 minutes into the match, Altinözü's goal looked a bit too open when Rafettin Adıyaman came free, but Kubilay Talut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafettin Adıyaman in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kubilay Talut prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 67th minute, Rıfkı Rekin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Altinözü's Ahmet Erguvan got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rıfkı Rekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the game, Rafettin Adıyaman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ARTVİN SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Altinözü the free kick. Rafettin Adıyaman kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. When Çağdaş Esenboğa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the ARTVİN SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çağdaş Esenboğa couldn't finish the play. The ARTVİN SK fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when ARTVİN SK's Rafettin Adıyaman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. ARTVİN SK had played much better football throughout.
