ARTVİN SK's Rafettin Adıyaman got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in ARTVİN SK's zone, Yalçın Yıldırımtürk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dilaver Sayhan came out of the goal and Yalçın Yıldırımtürk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenan Demirel during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Kenan Demirel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Rafettin Adıyaman made the kick off in the second half. When Rafettin Adıyaman came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the ARTVİN SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafettin Adıyaman couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute, Savaşer Şikel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafettin Adıyaman in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Barlas Derdiyok, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dilaver Sayhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamuran Öktemer in the 66th minute of the match. Rafettin Adıyaman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barlas Derdiyok having to interfere. When Kamuran Öktemer fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Osmanlıspor FK's protests and gave Kamuran Öktemer a yellow card for diving instead. Rafettin Adıyaman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Barlas Derdiyok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barlas Derdiyok made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Rafettin Adıyaman sent off a good shot on target. ARTVİN SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
