The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tayfur Bartu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Mustafa Barış Başhekim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ayvalık Kartalı JK's zone, Azmi Özduran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerry Vassenius came out of the goal and Azmi Özduran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Azmi Özduran was extremely unlucky when he, in the 6th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Azmi Özduran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Vassenius having to interfere. Azmi Özduran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Jerry Vassenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes Azmi Özduran could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 1-0 into the left cross. 17 minutes into the game, Azmi Özduran recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jerry Vassenius. Azmi Özduran showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Azmi Özdurans short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Jerry Vassenius to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Ayvalık Kartalı JK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Tayfur Bartu hit a great ball. Ayvalık Kartalı JK's Jerry Vassenius proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ayvalık Kartalı JK from getting a goal against them. Jerry Vassenius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Azmi Özduran's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Ergincan Özgun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehmet Hakkı Uğuralp hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes of play, Pride's Vecdet Turgut made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jerry Vassenius was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tayfur Bartu to make the kick off. Mehmet Hakkı Uğuralp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerry Vassenius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Pride getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mehmet Hakkı Uğuralp hit a great ball. Jerry Vassenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Hakan Seylan, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Azmi Özduran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerry Vassenius having to interfere. In the 64th minute Azmi Özduran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerry Vassenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Azmi Özduran scored 4-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerry Vassenius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Azmi Özduran in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerry Vassenius saved Ayvalık Kartalı JK from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Ayvalık Kartalı JK's Tayfur Bartu got a free kick in the 77th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Vecdet Turgut was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pride's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ayvalık Kartalı JK the free kick. A collision led to Pride getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Vecdet Turgut hit a great ball. Azmi Özduran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jerry Vassenius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Pride had played much better football throughout.
