The referee ignored Fethiye FK's protests and gave İzzettin Özol a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Istanbul Bosphorus booed when Fethiye FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. İzzettin Özol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Halit Fahri Sadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hamit Orbey having to interfere. Mustafa Hamit Orbey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fethiye FK. The crowd rose to their feet as Halit Fahri Sadi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mustafa Hamit Orbey. That made the score 1-0 in the 36 minute of play. Halit Fahri Sadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Mustafa Hamit Orbey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Istanbul Bosphorus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peyami Lütfi to maneuver through the defense. If Seyhan Ülküm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
