Recai Kongur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Habib Baykam having to make a save. Mustafa Hamit Orbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Birant Özçin in the 8th minute of play. Rasim Baykut's late challenge caught a Istanbul Bosphorus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rasim Baykut helped the player get up and apologised. If Mithat Akkılıç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Recai Kongur did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Habib Baykam 15 minutes into the match. After 21 played minutes Güney JK got a freekick which was hit by Erman Baykal. In the 22nd minute, Recai Kongur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Birant Özçin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Istanbul Bosphorus's Mustafa Hamit Orbey. Mustafa Hamit Orbey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Istanbul Bosphorus's zone, Birant Özçin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mustafa Hamit Orbey came out of the goal and Birant Özçin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mustafa Hamit Orbey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baturay Oğuzcan in the 38th minute of play. Birant Özçin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hamit Orbey having to interfere. Mustafa Hamit Orbey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birant Özçin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Istanbul Bosphorus's goal looked a bit too open when Birant Özçin came free, but Mustafa Hamit Orbey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birant Özçin in the 44th minute of play forced Istanbul Bosphorus's goalkeeper Mustafa Hamit Orbey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Baturay Oğuzcan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Güney JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baturay Oğuzcan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Recai Kongur to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Baturay Oğuzcan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Güney JK's Özbek Kamaci got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Mithat Akkılıç managed to get in a good position for a shot. Istanbul Bosphorus's supporters rose to their feet, but Mithat Akkılıç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Habib Baykam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cemil Yıldız hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 81st match minute, Güney JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vahdet Baykal to maneuver through the defense. Bulut Sayılgan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Devran Erkinay kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
