An unexpectedly hard shot by Fuat Afşar in the 8th minute of play forced Güney JK's goalkeeper Habib Baykam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Erman Baykal fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Güney JK's protests and gave Erman Baykal a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Güney JK's Erman Baykal got a free kick in the 11th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Erenköy's Gazanfer Özcan Erek tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Birant Özçin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fuat Afşar struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Habib Baykam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erenköy. Enis Behiç Orus hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 33 minutes into the game, Ruhi Vuralhan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Erenköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Güney JK the free kick. A collision led to Güney JK getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Özbek Kamaci hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Fuat Afşar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Habib Baykam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fuat Afşar in the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Erenköy booed when Güney JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erman Baykal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fuat Afşar got in the 44th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Habib Baykam handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fuat Afşar to make the kick off. Fuat Afşar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Habib Baykam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fuat Afşar in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Habib Baykam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Fuat Afşar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Abdi Başat dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Habib Baykam, 0-1. Habib Baykam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fuat Afşar in the 79th minute of play. If Abdi Başat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 84 played minutes Güney JK got a freekick which was hit by Erman Baykal. In the 88th minute, Fuat Afşar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Habib Baykam. The goal made the score 0-2. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Fuat Afşar took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Habib Baykam to make any attempt to save it. The Güney JK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Erenköy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
