Spectators: 6699 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 50) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tarkan Özdoa started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Birant Özçin in the 5th minute of play forced İstanbul United's goalkeeper Bahadır Uyun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Arif Gaffar Temizkanoğlu in the 7th minute really tested Bahadır Uyun's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Tarkan Özdoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. İstanbul United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarkan Özdoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute, Tarkan Özdoa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th match minute, İstanbul United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atay Balabey to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute Ahmet Arif Timuroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Habib Baykam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Habib Baykam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarkan Özdoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Baturay Oğuzcan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Bahadır Uyun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Birant Özçin in the 35th minute of the match. Atay Balabey's late challenge caught a Güney JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atay Balabey helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Güney JK booed when İstanbul United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atay Balabey didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Birant Özçin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baturay Oğuzcan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Bahadır Uyun when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Güney JK's Baturay Oğuzcan got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Baturay Oğuzcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Habib Baykam made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Selçuk Avcıoğlu sent off a good shot on target. Birant Özçin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bahadır Uyun read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Tarkan Özdoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Habib Baykam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Birant Özçin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Güney JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 68 minutes into the match, Güney JK's goal looked a bit too open when Tarkan Özdoa came free, but Habib Baykam reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Güney JK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tarkan Özdoa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a little luck, Güney JK's Habib Baykam got control of the ball when Ahmet Arif Timuroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enis Behiç Orus didn't quite understand what happened when in the 77 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. 80 minutes into the match, Birant Özçin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bahadır Uyun. İstanbul United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Birant Özçin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Durmuş Kınay hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Birant Özçin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Selçuk Avcıoğlu's late challenge caught a Güney JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Selçuk Avcıoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. Selçuk Avcıoğlu hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by İstanbul United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Enis Behiç Orus was slow to take the kick. During this time Güney JK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Güney JK's Enis Behiç Orus to fire away a dangerous shot which Bahadır Uyun despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Güney JK's Baturay Oğuzcan got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Tarkan Özdoa took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Habib Baykam to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Güney JK had won after a very even match.
