An unexpectedly hard shot by Gazanfer Özcan Kelim in the 7th minute of play forced Ataköy FK's goalkeeper Hürkan Çetinalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kutalp Öztanır came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ataköy FK's Cankut Adar. But to his dismay, Cankut Adar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 16 minutes in the game, Gazanfer Özcan Kelim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hürkan Çetinalp having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Orhan Veli Iğdırlı notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ataköy FK's Hürkan Çetinalp. Hürkan Çetinalp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gazanfer Özcan Kelim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hürkan Çetinalp having to interfere. Hürkan Çetinalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gazanfer Özcan Kelim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anıl Arda Tüzünalp's late challenge caught a Van's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Ömür Yürük kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Hürkan Çetinalp stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gazanfer Özcan Kelim's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The Van fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Van's Gazanfer Özcan Kelim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Gazanfer Özcan Kelim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kubat Suheyl's late challenge caught a Van's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kubat Suheyl helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ataköy FK's Kubat Suheyl got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 47 played minutes Gazanfer Özcan Kelim rounded Ataköy FK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gazanfer Özcan Kelim made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Ataköy FK's Cezmi Gayret got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Gazanfer Özcan Kelim, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Hürkan Çetinalp was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The supporters of Van booed when Ataköy FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kubat Suheyl didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Ataköy FK's goal looked a bit too open when Gazanfer Özcan Kelim came free, but Hürkan Çetinalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Orhan Veli Iğdırlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hürkan Çetinalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gazanfer Özcan Kelim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Gazanfer Özcan Kelim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hürkan Çetinalp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Van's Kutalp Öztanır got control of the ball when Ahmet Boran Utku tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orhan Veli Iğdırlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Hürkan Çetinalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orhan Veli Iğdırlı struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Hürkan Çetinalp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Van. After some careless play in the Ataköy FK defense, Orhan Veli Iğdırlı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hürkan Çetinalp. The Ataköy FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hürkan Çetinalp should have stopped the shot. Tarık Ergenç hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ahmet Boran Utku got free with Kutalp Öztanır in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Van's zone, Ahmet Boran Utku stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kutalp Öztanır came out of the goal and Ahmet Boran Utku tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th match minute, Van was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Göktürk Arıhan to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Van were the better team. Van's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
