The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Sefaköy SK's zone, Kürşat Özakın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüsnü İldemir came out of the goal and Kürşat Özakın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aycan Güdeş's late challenge caught a ABİDETÜRK JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aycan Güdeş helped the player get up and apologised. Aycan Güdeş hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Müfit Kerim in the 10th minute of play forced ABİDETÜRK JK's goalkeeper Berat Reha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berat Reha was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Müfit Kerim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Müfit Kerim really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Müfit Kerim to make the kick off.
