Spectators: 7039 (Terracing: 5519, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doğuş Yaygır started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Islahiye's goalkeeper Veysel Ahsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY defense, Dursun Ali Avcı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Onurhan Temircan. The GALATASARAY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Onurhan Temircan should have stopped the shot. With his leg Onurhan Temircan managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Islahiye's Dursun Ali Avcı fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 14 minutes into the match, Islahiye's goal looked a bit too open when Merih Kayrahan came free, but Veysel Ahsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hüseyin Soyurgal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes Islahiye got a freekick which was hit by Berk Özinan. In the 26th minute Merih Kayrahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veysel Ahsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dursun Ali Avcı sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Merih Kayrahan took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Veysel Ahsen. Veysel Ahsen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Dursun Ali Avcıs short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Onurhan Temircan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dursun Ali Avcı got free with Onurhan Temircan in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Veysel Ahsen came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by GALATASARAY's Merih Kayrahan. But to his dismay, Merih Kayrahan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Islahiye's Veysel Ahsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Islahiye from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Doğuş Yaygır's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Veysel Ahsen was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. If Dursun Ali Avcı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Veysel Ahsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Doğuş Yaygır, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute Doğuş Yaygır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Veysel Ahsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dursun Ali Avcı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Onurhan Temircan having to interfere. A collision led to Islahiye getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Arcan Öğün hit a great ball. Islahiye's Veysel Ahsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Islahiye from getting a goal against them. Dursun Ali Avcı kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd play minute Merih Kayrahan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Veysel Ahsen. 2-4. With a little luck, Islahiye's Veysel Ahsen got control of the ball when Merih Kayrahan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY's Mehmet Fatih Tellioğlu got a free kick in the 88th minute. Dursun Ali Avcı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. GALATASARAY walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
