Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erol İşcan started the match with the kick off. Batu Cem Beşir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ömer Rıza Yolaç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 5 minutes, Ercüment Baysu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sabanözü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercüment Baysu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hamza Tuğtaşı struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Batu Cem Beşir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bornova. In the 13th minute, Cihangir Ersayın left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sabanözü fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Hazım Keyfer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakkı Kenan Kartekin in the 19th minute. A collision led to Sabanözü getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Erberk Türksan hit a great ball. Cahit Coşkun hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Hazım Keyfer was a little too slow when Hakkı Kenan Kartekin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Ercüment Baysu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabanözü's supporters rose to their feet, but Ercüment Baysu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hazım Keyfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Batu Cem Beşir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erol İşcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, Cihangir Ersayın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hakkı Kenan Kartekin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hazım Keyfer firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 44 minutes, Cihangir Ersayın made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bornova's Hazım Keyfer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 48th minute Hamza Tuğtaşı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batu Cem Beşir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cihangir Ersayın made the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Sabanözü:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bornova:s goal. In the 55th minute, Bornova got a penalty, and Alptuğ Resul placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cihangir Ersayın managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabanözü's supporters rose to their feet, but Cihangir Ersayın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hazım Keyfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st match minute, Sabanözü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercüment Baysu to maneuver through the defense. Yahya Kemal Çaykara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hazım Keyfer having to interfere. Bornova's Hazım Keyfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cihangir Ersayın in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Bornova's goal looked a bit too open when Volkan Sorgun came free, but Hazım Keyfer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hazım Keyfer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cihangir Ersayın's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Batu Cem Beşir was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hacı Ali Öktemer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 77 minute of play. In the 85th minute Erol İşcan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Batu Cem Beşir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bornova's Hamza Tuğtaşı got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 92 minutes, Ercüment Baysu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sabanözü and the Bornova players grew even worse after the yellow card. 94 minutes into the match, Hacı Ali Öktemer dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Batu Cem Beşir, 3-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ömer Rıza Yolaç got free with Batu Cem Beşir in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
