Batu Bican started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Bucaspor got a freekick which was hit by Ali Behzat Kutuner. Batu Bican fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ant Tutkun having to interfere. Batu Bican received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ant Tutkun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 9 played minutes RiverPlate got a freekick which was hit by Ali Asım Zafer. Fadıl Gürgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Tanju Karacabey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15thth minute of the game Korkutalp Erandaç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bucaspor's Tanju Karacabey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ragıp Çelenk in the 17th minute of play forced RiverPlate's goalkeeper Ant Tutkun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Andaç Özpinar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bucaspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Andaç Özpinar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ant Tutkun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Andaç Özpinar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, RiverPlate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oğuzer Giryar to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the match, Bucaspor's Genco Türköz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Bucaspor's Tanju Karacabey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Bucaspor from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Bucaspor's zone, Fadıl Gürgan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tanju Karacabey came out of the goal and Fadıl Gürgan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Korkutalp Erandaç came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the RiverPlate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Korkutalp Erandaç couldn't finish the play. Reşit Kura hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Tanju Karacabey was a little too slow when Korkutalp Erandaç got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Korkutalp Erandaç stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tanju Karacabey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korkutalp Erandaç in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korkutalp Erandaç in the 58th minute of play forced Bucaspor's goalkeeper Tanju Karacabey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Andaç Özpinar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Korkutalp Erandaç received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Korkutalp Erandaç who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bucaspor's Tanju Karacabey was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Ergincan Ensar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bucaspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RiverPlate the free kick. In the 78th minute, Ergincan Ensar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tanju Karacabey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Korkutalp Erandaç in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Batu Bican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ant Tutkun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fadıl Gürgan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kayacan Hidayettin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Tanju Karacabey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RiverPlate's Fadıl Gürgan got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andaç Özpinars short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Ant Tutkun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Batu Bican fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ant Tutkun having to interfere. Ant Tutkun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andaç Özpinar in the 98th minute.
