The crowd rose to their feet as Melikgazi's Orkun Ünsi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samim Canol. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Batur Çidam made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Orkun Ünsi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melikgazi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kumru the free kick. A collision led to Melikgazi getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. When Genco Özdek fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Melikgazi's protests and gave Genco Özdek a yellow card for diving instead. Genco Özdek hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kumru booed when Melikgazi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hıdır Çetinalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, one of Melikgazi:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Melikgazi. Melikgazi's Yağız Akkın proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Melikgazi from getting a goal against them. Orkun Ünsi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samim Canol having to interfere. Batur Çidam's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yağız Akkın firmly grabbed it by the left post. Melikgazi's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
