The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Utku Sabir hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After 11 played minutes, Taslicay's Nejat Türkmen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Günalp Hünkar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taslicay reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dursun Oğurata got free with Ekber Sebih in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Evren Özakın fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Dursun Oğurata came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Eyüp JK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dursun Oğurata couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dursun Oğurata got free with Ekber Sebih in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 26 played minutes Taslicay got a freekick which was hit by Kamil Türegün. After a rather tough play, Eyüp JK's Efekan Okyanus got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes, Taslicay's Utku Sabir shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Günalp Hünkar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taslicay reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers İsmail Cem Orun in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Günalp Hünkar saved Eyüp JK from getting behind. The supporters of Taslicay booed when Eyüp JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uğurcan Nabi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38th minute İsmail Cem Orun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Günalp Hünkar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dursun Oğurata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ekber Sebih having to interfere. Ekber Sebih made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Dursun Oğurata sent off a good shot on target. Ekber Sebih was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Evren Özakın showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 46 minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evren Özakın stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 51 in the game by Behiç Abdulhakimoğlu from a close distance when the talented Günalp Hünkar managed to make a qualified save. Eyüp JK's players were relieved. Ekber Sebih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evren Özakın in the 57th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Eyüp JK's zone, İsmail Cem Orun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Günalp Hünkar came out of the goal and İsmail Cem Orun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ekber Sebih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dursun Oğurata in the 61st minute of play. Behiç Abdulhakimoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doruk Tunçboğa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Eyüp JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efekan Okyanus to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the match, Taslicay's goal looked a bit too open when Dursun Oğurata came free, but Ekber Sebih reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Behiç Abdulhakimoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Günalp Hünkar having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Taslicay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murat Selim Girgin to maneuver through the defense. After 84 minutes of play, Eyüp JK's Dursun Oğurata made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ekber Sebih was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Evren Özakın fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eyüp JK's protests and gave Evren Özakın a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Eyüp JK getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Evren Özakın hit a great ball.
