In the 6th minute Edip İlksen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yaşar Kiray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercan Avcı in the 7th minute of play forced Galatasarayburnu's goalkeeper İldeniz Aygüneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ziya Talut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. İldeniz Aygüneş tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Celebi FK's Ercan Avcı got a free kick in the 21st minute. İldeniz Aygüneş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ufuk Hürsev in the 23rd minute of the match. A collision led to Galatasarayburnu getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hüsamettin Cenger hit a great ball. Hayrullah Baysal kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edip İlksen in the 26th minute of play forced Celebi FK's goalkeeper Yaşar Kiray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İldeniz Aygüneş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ufuk Hürsev in the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Celebi FK's Kürşat Özdurdu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that İldeniz Aygüneş narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Galatasarayburnu defense, Kürşat Özdurdu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of İldeniz Aygüneş. The Galatasarayburnu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that İldeniz Aygüneş should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Celebi FK's Yaşar Kiray got control of the ball when Alim Öksak tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Edip İlksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. İldeniz Aygüneş took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercan Avcı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. İldeniz Aygüneş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faruk Torlak in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 played minutes Celebi FK got a freekick which was hit by Faruk Torlak. Saltuk Beyhan struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Yaşar Kiray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasarayburnu.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edip İlksen to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kürşat Özdurdu in the 52nd minute of play forced Galatasarayburnu's goalkeeper İldeniz Aygüneş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the game, Eray Tayfur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasarayburnu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Celebi FK the free kick. A collision led to Galatasarayburnu getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eray Tayfur hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Celebi FK were awarded a corner. Kürşat Özdurdu went to the cornerflag to take it. Ahmet Ömür Çeliktaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Yaşar Kiray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Galatasarayburnu booed when Celebi FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kürşat Özdurdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Alim Öksak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yaşar Kiray. Celebi FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alim Öksak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ercan Avcı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Ufuk Hürsev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasarayburnu's İldeniz Aygüneş was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th match minute, Celebi FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faruk Torlak to maneuver through the defense. When Ercan Avcı came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Celebi FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercan Avcı couldn't finish the play. Eray Tayfur hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Kürşat Özdurdu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for İldeniz Aygüneş. Galatasarayburnu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ufuk Hürsev who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of İldeniz Aygüneş when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 88 minutes into the match, Ufuk Hürsev notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Galatasarayburnu's İldeniz Aygüneş. İldeniz Aygüneş was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. İldeniz Aygüneş showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercan Avcı, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the final whistle sounded Celebi FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Galatasarayburnu.
