Özal Garipoğlu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Kozan SK's zone, Baransel Pozan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurtuluş Urandu came out of the goal and Baransel Pozan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kurtuluş Urandu made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Özal Garipoğlu sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özen Tengiroğlu in the 35th minute of play forced Hacımusalar SK 1909's goalkeeper Bayram Sefa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bayram Sefa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Türker Ersavaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Türker Ersavaş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
