Spectators: 7564 (Terracing: 5674, Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 151) Fehmi Doğay started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Doğaner Kutuner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cassiope SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ankaragücü the free kick. After 3 played minutes Cassiope SK got a freekick which was hit by Doğaner Kutuner. In the 5th minute, İzzet Baysal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Samir Koytan in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cassiope SK's Doğaner Kutuner. Ali Haydar Oğuzatas short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Vefa Perkin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 16th match minute, Ankaragücü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenan Kapar to maneuver through the defense. Ankaragücü's Rafael Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vahap Yahya in the 18th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Ali Haydar Oğuzata took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Vefa Perkin to make any attempt to save it. 26 minutes into the match, Ankaragücü's goal looked a bit too open when Vahap Yahya came free, but Rafael Eguen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Eguen came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Cassiope SK's Vahap Yahya. But to his dismay, Vahap Yahya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 32nd minute Fehmi Doğay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Eguen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rafael Eguen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harun Özgiray, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. A collision led to Ankaragücü getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ersin Paksoy hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the game, Cassiope SK's Fehmi Doğay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Eguen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Harun Özgiray charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harun Özgiray the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Cassiope SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harun Özgiray to maneuver through the defense. The Ankaragücü players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cassiope SK were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rıfkı Sebukalp made a kick off. If Vahap Yahya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kenan Kapar struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Vefa Perkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ankaragücü. 61 minutes into the game, Fehmi Doğay recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafael Eguen. Fehmi Doğay showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Rafael Eguen made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Doğaner Kutuner sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, İzzet Baysal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vahap Yahya received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rafael Eguen came out and tried to block the shot, but Vahap Yahya slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 71st minute. If Ersin Paksoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cassiope SK's Selami Serkut suffered a sore foot after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ersin Paksoy's late challenge caught a Cassiope SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ersin Paksoy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Ankaragücü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ersin Paksoy to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Vahap Yahya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cassiope SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. After a rather tough play, Cassiope SK's Fehmi Doğay got a free kick in the 87th minute. Ali Haydar Oğuzata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 88th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vefa Perkin. Cassiope SK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Ankaragücü booed when Cassiope SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hakkı Onur Iğdırlı didn't get a good kick on the ball.
