The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Arya-Lina defense, Gwidon Marciewicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmet Oğuz Bakanay. In the 31st minute, İ.D.Ç SK's Leonard Kuchynka seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Leonard Kuchynka the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of İ.D.Ç SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leonard Kuchynka had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch.
