Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Cüneyt Arıbaş ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cankut Mansız was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Kurucesme SK booed when GARANBIRLIK SPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cüneyt Arıbaş didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 played minutes Kurucesme SK got a freekick which was hit by Hasan Bahçeli. GARANBIRLIK SPOR's Ahmet Orhan Özinan got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, GARANBIRLIK SPOR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eser Ataseven to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute of the match Necip Fazıl Gagauz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ünsal Devlettin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Gernando Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cankut Mansız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cüneyt Tümerkan during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, GARANBIRLIK SPOR's Cüneyt Tümerkan got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Kurucesme SK's Zeki Fırıncıoğlu in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeki Fırıncıoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hasan Bahçeli hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. A collision led to Kurucesme SK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Hasan Bahçeli hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeki Fırıncıoğlu in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ünsal Devlettin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 56 minutes, Resul Kapar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kurucesme SK and the GARANBIRLIK SPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zeki Fırıncıoğlu took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ünsal Devlettin. Ünsal Devlettin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gernando Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. GARANBIRLIK SPOR's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernando Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cankut Mansız breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as GARANBIRLIK SPOR's Gernando Valladares slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cankut Mansız. That made the score 4-3 after 65 minutes of play. Cankut Mansız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Orhan Özinan, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 69 played minutes Kurucesme SK got a freekick which was hit by Resul Kapar. Cankut Mansız was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Cüneyt Arıbaş. 73 minutes into the match, Zeki Fırıncıoğlu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ünsal Devlettin. GARANBIRLIK SPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zeki Fırıncıoğlu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-3. Ahmet Orhan Özinan came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cankut Mansız could save by the left post. Tugay Alkım hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 90 played minutes Kurucesme SK got a freekick which was hit by Latif Okdemir. Zeki Fırıncıoğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ünsal Devlettin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Cankut Mansız showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cüneyt Arıbaş, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Kurucesme SK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
