Cankut Mansız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Batı Revan in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Antônio Carlos Tasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kurucesme SK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ghost FC the free kick. A collision led to Kurucesme SK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. A wasted opportunity for Kurucesme SK. 39 minutes into the game, Hüseyin Doğa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cankut Mansız was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Batı Revan struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Cankut Mansız didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ghost FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zeki Fırıncıoğlu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Artun Seyyid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cankut Mansız was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. After 72 minutes, Berke Geylanoğullarından mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ghost FC and the Kurucesme SK players grew even worse after the yellow card.
